So, I've noticed that most of my blogging family has been blogging absent on their blogs... The sad truth is that I have too. Now, though, I am back and I have some fun stuff to share.

I was a counselor for T-Camp, a three day/two night orientation camp for new Aggies. It was definitely one of the most amazing things I have ever done. Honestly, up until the first day of our prep week, I wasn't exactly looking forward to the whole experience because I didn't feel like I had connected with the group.

I don't know what it was, but the moment I walked into our "War Room" I was hooked. All the preparation I had been steeling myself to "just get through" became something that I was sad to be done with in the end.

At camp, I met a ton of amazing people. Other counselors, campers, teamers, and directors made everything absolutely amazing. We were loud, proud, and utterly awesome.

One of my main functions during our skit times was to be the "Rumor Fairy". Traditionally, this part is played by a guy in a tutu, but since all of our guys were busy wearing dresses in the rest of the skits, I was allowed to take the part. Surprisingly, it turned out really well, and I got a ton of compliments on my disgruntled fairy impersonation.

All in all, the most satisfying part was hearing camper after camper say how much fun they'd had and how at home they felt. Even if I had had no fun at all, it would have been worth it just to hear one of them say that.

That sounds cool... I would have liked to have seen the "fairy" :( Anyway... I am hoping to get some blogging in this week too. The sad thing is I have a few things I want to write about but if i write them all when i have time than people will only read the top one. :(
